November is a big month for our service department - with the Technician exams recently under our belt, the next place for the department to showcase top talent is the 2012 Technician Recognition Competition, which begins on November 23rd with a qualifying race of Electric Go-Karts. Placement in that race will determine order for the following day's competition. After the daylong competition at Subaru Canada’s headquarters the day will end with a semi-formal Awards Dinner on Saturday Night where the winners will be announced. We're looking forward to the weekend and hope to report more great results in early December.

What the competition entails: vehicles are imbedded with a malfunction, one that does not necessarily have to be under the hood. Technicians are required to locate and rectify the issue within the vehicle, completing the competition by showing a committee member what work was done to repair each item, and proving by demonstration that the car is back in working condition. Failure to bring attention to each malfunction before "closing the hood," results in points deduction. This is what our Service Technicians do!
Best of luck to Mario Brunetti (Subaru Grand Master Technician), Andrew Bonnett (Subaru Gand Master Technician) and Dave Pecino (Subaru Master Technician)!!
